As part of a graduate program at a leading FMCG company, I gained firsthand experience in the fast-paced world of consumer goods. My role involved understanding and optimizing business processes, which sharpened my problem-solving skills and gave me insight into how efficiency and innovation drive success in the industry.

This experience also ignited my interest in coding and software development. While exploring ways to improve processes, I became fascinated by the role technology plays in modern operations. This curiosity motivated me to begin pursuing a career in software engineering, combining my analytical mindset with a passion for creating impactful solutions.

What this taught me?

Process Optimization: Proficient in Process Mapping and identifying areas for improvement to streamline workflows.

Data Analysis: Experienced in Analysing Operational Data and interpreting KPIs to drive informed decisions.

Technical Tools: Familiar with tools for performance tracking and Process Improvement, eg. Microsoft Excel & PowerBI.

Project Coordination: Supported Cross-Functional teams in implementing solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Problem Solving: Applied critical thinking to address operational challenges and design effective solutions.

Curiosity and Tech-Driven Insight: Explored automation and digital tools to identify opportunities for innovation.

This experience gave me hands-on skills in improving processes, analyzing data, and using tools like Excel and Power BI to make operations more efficient. It helped me think critically when solving problems and sparked my curiosity about how technology can make things better. Most importantly, it set me on the path to software engineering, where I’m excited to use my skills to build solutions that really make a difference.
